Where does Definitive Motors, LLC get its cars?
Definitive Motors gets its cars from a variety of sources. Our cars are almost always local franchise dealership trade-ins and/or lease returns. We have relationships with dealerships and brokers who buy only the highest quality pre-owned cars. A typical scenario is one in which a dealer obtains a car through a trade-in and that dealer is neither a specialist or is not allowed to sell a particular make of car. They call us and we purchase the vehicle from them and make the car available online to a national market.
Can I have the car mechanically inspected?
Yes. It is our absolute mission for you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase. Definitive Motors allows full pre-buy inspection of all its vehicles from any inspection service you desire. However, to save you time and money Definitive Motors conducts a bumper to bumper inspection prior to marketing a vehicle for sale.
What can I expect from my purchase?
You can expect great service, a great price and an impeccable car. We aim to describe the car as accurately as possible. We do offer only pre-owned vehicles and by definition our vehicles are not brand new. Most of our offerings are equal to first line vehicles sold in reputable franchised dealerships across the country. In fact, many of these dealers buy our inventory only to turn around and sell it at much higher prices.
I am out-of-town, how will I get the car?
Definitive Motors uses a fully bonded and insured transportation service that will deliver the vehicle to your door. Vehicle delivery usually takes between 1-3 weeks. Cost varies depending on location and type of vehicle.

Can you contact me when a car I’m interested in is added to your inventory?
Yes. Just call or email us the vehicle your are looking for and we will alert you the day it is added to our inventory.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. We offer fast, fair financing through several finance companies. Most of our customers’ financing is approved in 20 minutes or less.
Can I apply for credit online?
To get the financing process started online, first find the vehicle you are interested in purchasing. Then request financing information by clicking the “Finance” link found on the front page of our website. Or you can get started by calling your our store
Can I buy a car online?
Contact one of our Sales Consultants at the store to initiate the car-buying process online. Once you have selected a vehicle from our inventory, you can set up an appointment to test drive the vehicle, ask general questions not covered on the website or request that the paperwork be sent to you via postal mail. If the car is not located near you we can ship your vehicle anywhere in the continental United States. Click on our “Shipping” link for details.
What finance rate can I get?
That depends on your past credit history, the type of car you’re buying, and overall market conditions. However, we offer low, competitive rates from a variety of finance companies to fit nearly every budget and credit history.
Do you accept trade-ins?
Yes. In fact, you don’t even have to trade your car in to Definitive Motors. We’ll buy your car even if you don’t buy one from us.
Will you buy my car?
Once your car has been appraised, we’ll give you a written offer that’s good for 7 days. And you are under no obligation to buy one of Definitive Motors cars once you’ve sold us yours.
How can I find out what my car is worth?
You can have your car professionally appraised at our location. This process usually takes 30 to 40 minutes. We will give you a written offer that’s good for 7 days.
What if I owe more on my car than the amount of your appraisal offer?
If your pay-off amount is more than the value of your car, the difference is called negative equity. In some cases, the negative equity can be included in your financing when you buy a Definitive Motors car. If not, we’ll calculate the difference between your pay-off and our offer to you. We’ll accept a cashier’s or certified check for the amount you owe and then pay off your finance company.
Do you have a service department?
Yes. Our sister company LBR Auto Repair can provide any maintenance and repairs on any car, whether you bought it from us or not. They offer up-front pricing on our most popular services and complimentary shuttle rides within a five-mile radius of the shop.
